We'll get back to you within a few days. Kindred is a small indie operation — built solo from Christchurch, New Zealand — so responses are personal, just sometimes slow.
Open the app, go to Settings → Delete account. Your profile, mood board, voice notes, avatar, and all your matches and conversations will be removed within 30 days. The people you matched with will see those matches disappear from their side too. See our privacy policy for details.
Inside any chat, tap the ⋯ menu in the header. You'll find Report (file a report and keep the match) and Block & Report (file a report, delete the match, delete the conversation, and prevent that person from ever appearing to you again). Reports are reviewed and acted on as quickly as possible.
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and we'll email you a reset link. If you signed up with Google or Apple, use that same provider to log back in.
Kindred is brand new and growing one city at a time. If you're in Christchurch you'll see boards from people nearby first. As the community grows we'll roll out to more cities. Building a richer mood board (more blocks, voice notes, a profile photo) tends to attract more reactions.
Yes — your mood board is always editable. Open the Profile tab and tap Edit board. Changes are live immediately for everyone who views your board after that.
Make sure your iPhone isn't on Silent Mode (the small switch above the volume buttons). Kindred's audio plays through the media channel, so it's controlled by media volume, not ringer volume.
Yes. Kindred is strictly for adults 18 and over. We require a date of birth at signup. If you believe an underage user has signed up, please email us immediately at anyaclawbot@gmail.com.
The short version: your account info, your mood board content, your messages, and basic device info. We don't sell data, don't run third-party ads, and don't use your messages or mood boards to train AI models. The full breakdown is in our privacy policy.

Not yet. Kindred is iOS-only at launch. An Android version is on the roadmap but not scheduled — if you'd like to be notified when it's ready, email us and we'll add you to the waitlist.
